Flourishing Together is designed to provide vital support and resources to all families in Central Oregon, with specific attention to reducing the barriers to thriving in our community faced by our neurodivergent school-aged youth and parents.
We're striving to create a hub in which many of the supports-often confusing and hard-to-access-will be curated and organized for meaningful and efficient access.
We’re creating a welcoming, inclusive environment that not only provides practical resources but also celebrates the diverse, unique strengths and passions of our youth. This is way more than a resource fair! We’'re including collaborators from within our community to help us craft sensory-friendly activities and spaces, and interest-driven free-play activities like music, art, and fort building.
We’re excited to feature Banni Bunting, Mindfulness facilitator, parent and athlete, and Teafly Peterson, a multimedia artist and writer. They’ll be sharing their book How Do You See the World, which emphasizes compassionate curiosity, inclusion and mental health. It’s a perfect fit for the day’s theme of celebrating diversity and supporting our families.
Flourishing Together is hosted by the Samara Learning Center with grant funding from the Culturally Specific After School Learning (CSASL) Program by Oregon Department of Education (ODE), with organizational support from Interconnected Diversity LLC.
We’re creating a welcoming hub where you'll find carefully curated resources and streamlined access to the often confusing and hard-to-navigate professional and educational support systems in our region. MORE INFO COMING SOON!
